We are inviting applications from ECTs who want to join our skilled team and through their teaching, make a real difference to pupils' lives. We offer excellent ECT support through experienced mentors and pair you up to work with year group colleagues who will share their practice with you. Aston Tower has a strong track record for developing ECTs, many of whom have moved onto senior positions at the school or at other settings. We are looking for ECTs willing to teach in either key stage 1 or key stage 2.
What the school offers its staff:
Aston Tower is a two-form entry multi-cultural school that serves a community which values and supports our work. The school had a highly successful Ofsted inspection in October 2024 which judged the school to have improved to an ‘outstanding’ level. The school offers specialist support to pupils with Special Educational Needs through our Department for Education (DfE) approved Resource Base that caters for 16 pupils with EHCPs. We have friendly, responsive and enthusiastic children whose attitudes to learning were described as ‘excellent’ by Ofsted, along with their outstanding behaviour. Our staff team is skilled, caring, and committed; trustees are keen to be involved and highly supportive. The school is very well-resourced in well-kept modern premises set in spacious grounds.
