Long Term Futures is recruiting for a resilient and compassionate Children's Behaviour Support Worker to join an Alternative Provision in Birmingham, supporting secondary-aged pupils. This is a highly rewarding role, working with young people who require additional support to manage their behaviour and re-engage with education. About the Role
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Supporting students within lessons and in alternative learning environments
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies
- Building strong, positive relationships to support engagement and attendance
- Supporting pupils to regulate emotions and successfully re-engage with learning
- Monitoring behaviour and progress, feeding back to relevant staff
- Encouraging positive behaviour, resilience, and social development
- Working collaboratively with staff to implement behaviour support plans
