At Malmaison we proudly serve Starbucks Coffee. We have a number of hotels across the UK that have a dedicated Cafe Mal coffee house that serves the perfect Starbucks beverages from espresso‑based classics such as cappuccino and caffè latte to iced beverages, hot chocolate drinks and specialties. If you are passionate about fresh food, proper coffee and great customer service in a coffee bar setting and want to support and drive your team to really excel and deliver fantastic sales and a key profit stream within our business, this could be the role for you.

Your role as Café Mal Supervisor is to deliver fantastic service and products that meet and exceed both our guest expectations. You will lead your shift to deliver the highest standards in the industry by providing great coffee, great food and great service every time with the passion that we pride ourselves on. Your efforts will involve working with the team to motivate, manage your business and understand and deliver what it is that makes good customer service great.

Develop positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns. Execute store operations during scheduled shifts. Organise opening and closing duties as assigned. Follow operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift. Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash management practices are followed by the shift team. Follow up with baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service for all customers. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.

Qualifications

Experience in managing a barista‑led coffee house is essential. Ideally you will have experience in a similar quality coffee brand and role.
