RPS, a Tetra Tech company has an exciting opportunity for a Bid-Co-ordinator to join our Bid Management team in Birmingham (hybrid).
About the Team
The role will sit within our central bid team supporting our UK and Ireland Consulting business. The team provide end to end bid management for major strategic bids and work with our extensive network of offices to provide guidance and support on bid management best practice. We support a broad service offering including planning and approvals, environmental consultancy, design and engineering, project and programme management and health safety and risk. Our sectors include property, energy, transport, defence and government, water and resources.

What you will be doing
- Ownership of smaller scale bids and fee proposals, working directly with technical bid owners (drawing on advice and guidance from Bid Managers as appropriate)
- Assisting Bid Managers in major submissions by owning individual bid elements
- Production and ownership of bid plans and supporting documents to facilitate the bid process
- Arranging bid gateway and progress meetings throughout the bid process
- Using InDesign to create on-brand documents, drawing on graphics support where relevant
- Value proposition / win theme development where appropriate
- Contributing to the written proposal particularly the Executive Summary, ensuring this fully captures the win themes and value proposition
- Editing / proof reading bid inputs
- Supporting wider business development / work winning activity as required, including opportunity / competitor / market research
- Monitoring the bid team inbox to field enquiries and correspondence
- Identifying gaps, drafting improvements for sign-off and maintaining content for the Bid Library
- Reviewing and editing project sheets to improve content, liaising with Project Managers to explore and communicate challenges and solutions and added value on projects

- Experience delivering significant/complex bids involving multiple technical contributors and good project management ability
- Knowledge of bidding best practice and an understanding of public procurement
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills and ability to present written information in a structured and balanced way appropriate to the reader
- Attention to detail critical eye to ensure consistency throughout documents and compliance with tender requirements
- Confidence to constructively challenge and influence to ensure the best outcome
- Ability to keep a calm head and solve problems as they arise
- Impeccable organisational and project management skills
- Desire to consistently improve documents, processes and professional practice
