The predicted salary is between 26530 - 29114 £ per year.

To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Consultant Psychiatrists and the clinical team; assisting them in achieving their objectives and liaising with all relevant and appropriate services. To ensure all patient medical interventions are organised effectively and efficiently so that patients are seen without clinical risk and within NHS guidelines and targets.

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties, which include:

  • The receipt of all correspondence
  • Booking of patient medical appointments
  • Attendance at designated meetings recording accurate notes
  • Completion of audio transcription of clinical letters, reports and other correspondence as required by the Consultant Psychiatrist and medical team

To act as a focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquiries for the medical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals and staff within the Trust, GP’s, Social Workers, Service Users, Carers and any other appropriate external agencies. You will also help cover when other secretaries within the service are on annual leave.
