A Vacancy at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust to assist in the provision of quality, evidence based nursing advice, support and care under the full supervision of a qualified nurse for service users with eating disorders with consideration of health and social care needs, and their carers within a multidisciplinary setting. This position is based at Cilantro day treatment service which supports up to 6 service users with eating disorders who attend the unit 8am – 4pm, Monday – Friday. The post holder will support service users with completing meals and snacks, psychoeducation, group programme and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care under the guidance of the qualified nurse.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of local and national policies and legislation that govern current service provision.
  • Identify own training and development needs and promote effective therapeutic relationships that address issues of spirituality, equality, diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.
  • Ensure effective communication pathways exist, and act within the sphere of responsibility in a manner that positively reflects the values of the organisation.
