Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with ASD in year 4 in a welcoming primary school in Rednal. This role is offered on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year supporting children with SEN, ideally ASD.
- Skills: Strong behaviour management skills, ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs, and experience with SEN strategies (visual timetables, Zones of Regulation, or Makaton).
- Knowledge: Understanding of how to support children with ASD both academically and emotionally.
