Due to the success and expansion of the business, we are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, dynamic individual who will contribute to the team meeting challenging business targets. Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Area Supervisor will undertake various planned and reactive maintenance tasks, as well as have responsibility for supervising and auditing the work of others. The post holder will act as the initial point of contact for daily operations within their given geographical region. You will be able to work on your own initiative in order to achieve the high level of service delivery expected by ourselves and our clients.
Working as part of the Mobile Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for the engineering service delivery to meet and exceed our challenging contractual targets. Along with our control hub, you will play a key role in planning and supervising all planned and reactive works associated with Water and Waste Water treatment plants and pumping stations. You will be the first point of contact for the day-to-day operation of a major water industry contract providing planned and reactive maintenance services. As well as planning works and managing efficient service delivery, you will assist with answering operational and technical queries that arise. You will complete a variety of audits on sub-contracted works and staff.
You should have experience in dealing with clients on a daily basis and demonstrate how to build key client relationships. This is a hands-on role. You will need to have a "can do" attitude, as well as a flexible approach to meet the demands of the role. You will provide exceptional maintenance services to our high-profile client and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas of your performance.
Main Activities of the Area Supervisor:
- Multi-skilled approach, supervising the work of multiple trades.
- Liase with client staff, dealing with enquiries and arranging works.
- Carrying out several internal audits as required.
- To carry out reactive and planned maintenance as well as some minor installations on water, waste water and network water sites (occasional work outside the main contract may be required).
- Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to.
- Use your own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts and materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
- Liaise closely with our control hub to ensure efficient response to all works.
- Provide detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept up to date at all times.

About You
Essential Criteria:
- Good Knowledge of Building maintenance requirements.
- Good IT Skills.
- 12 months experience in providing call out services.
- Previous experience working in the building maintenance industry.
- Full UK Driver's License.
Desirable Criteria:
- CSR Site Supervisors Gold Card.
- COSHH training.
- Manual Handling training.
- Confined space training.
- Registered CSCS/CSR Card (or equivalent).
- National Water Hygiene card holder.
- SMSTS Training.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- First aid training.
