Weekly Pay: £460 - £500

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only)

Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a welcoming, Ofsted-rated 'Good' primary school in Kings Heath (B14) to recruit a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. You will provide focused support to a Year 4 pupil with ASD and ADHD, helping them regulate emotions, engage with learning and build confidence within a mainstream classroom. Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and inclusion team, you will deliver calm, consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering tailored 1:1 support aligned to EHCP targets
  • Using de-escalation and regulation strategies to support behaviour and focus
  • Supporting access to the KS2 curriculum through structured learning
  • Assisting with transitions, routines and emotional regulation
  • Building a positive, trusting relationship that promotes independence
  • Recording progress and working collaboratively with school staff
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD and/or ADHD
  • Confidence managing behaviour using positive, consistent strategies
  • Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification or strong school-based experience
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Strong communication skills and team mindset
  • Passion for inclusion and SEN support
  • Ofsted-rated 'Good' mainstream primary school experience
  • Friendly, inclusive and supportive environment background
  • Proactive SENDCo and supportive SLT experience
  • Strong SEN systems and behaviour frameworks knowledge
  • Clear focus on emotional wellbeing
