Prospero Teaching are working with supportive schools across the Birkenhead area who are seeking full-time Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for long-term roles starting in February. These roles are ideal for candidates with experience supporting children with additional needs who are passionate about making a positive impact in the classroom.

The role:

  • As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, including children with SEND, SEMH or learning difficulties.
  • You may provide support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping pupils access the curriculum, manage behaviour and build confidence.
  • Schools are looking for calm, patient and proactive LSAs who can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing targeted 1:1 or small-group support
  • Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs
  • Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery and differentiation
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Working closely with SEND teams, pastoral staff and parents where required
