About this job:

Applicants must hold a full UK manual driving licence. Automatic licences do not qualify. The role includes weekend work and, where necessary, occasional evenings. You will supervise a group at an unpaid work placement for up to 7 hours a day. Weekend days are paid at a 50% premium. Working may involve driving service vehicles to transport people or equipment, and you are responsible for all work site supervision tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support work groups of offenders serving community sentences, ensuring tasks are carried out to the best ability, demonstrating good practice as necessary.
  • Maintain wellness and wellbeing, with support from the service where rest breaks are constrained by pace.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK – you must have the legal right to live and work in the UK and the Civil Service.
  • Manual UK driving licence, full manual driving licence required.
  • Experience or capability to supervise offenders in community settings is desirable.
