Northern Care Alliance, Cellular Pathology, is an ambitious, welcoming, patient-focused organisation creating opportunities to support, develop and progress our teams, adding value to our local communities.
You will participate in the delivery of our ISO 15189 accredited Cellular Pathology service, contributing to the wide-ranging laboratory service including:
- Microtomy
- Quality control
- Intra-operative diagnostic frozen sections
- Audit
- Immunocytochemistry
- Skin immunofluorescence
- Muscle enzyme histochemistry
- Moh’s clinic
- Cytology adequacy assessment clinics
- Renal clinics
- Cytology preparation
- Biopsy preparation
- Processing and embedding
- Special stains
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who demonstrates diligence and conscientiousness as well as a strong alignment to the Trust values through their contribution to the work of the laboratory. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Successful NHS applicants must be in a position to take the role on a secondment basis.
To contribute and deliver the scientific and technical work of the Cellular Pathology Service.
Maintain registration as a biomedical scientist through continuing to meet the standards of proficiency for safe and effective practice and continuing to meet the HCPC’s standards for continuing professional development.
To work within Trust.
