Owen Payne Recruitment are now recruiting experienced Steel Fabricators to join their expanding team in the Bilston area. If you’re a skilled Steel Fabricator looking to take the next step in your career, this 12‑week temp‑to‑perm opportunity could be exactly what you’ve been waiting for. You will play a key role in assembling and fabricating mechanical components, products, and structures using a variety of tools and equipment—ensuring all work meets the highest industry standards within a leading manufacturing environment.
We have start dates available for the next 2 weeks, alternatively we have roles available in January for the right candidates.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00–15:45
- Friday: 07:00–13:00
Rate of Pay
£17.50 per hour + enhanced overtime rates
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricating highway products and infrastructures according to specifications and industry standards.
- Operating an overhead crane to lift, move, and position materials as needed.
- Reading and interpreting drawings to determine project requirements.
- Inspecting finished products for quality and ensuring they meet specifications.
- Maintaining and performing routine checks on welding and fabricating equipment.
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Undertaking additional duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Must have previous Steel Fabrication experience.
- Must be able to read drawings.
- Experience with operating overhead cranes preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a fabrication environment.
