Purpose of the Job
To help with daily domestic tasks around the house and potentially build up to doing social activities.

Hours of Work
14.5 hours per week, ideally in 2 to 4 shifts. Some flexibility can be discussed at interview.

Rates of Pay
£14.40 per hour plus 40p per mile where applicable.

Tasks

  • Help to cook and prepare meals
  • Put clothes in and out of the washing machine
  • Hang the washing on the line and bring it back in
  • Assist with light household cleaning such as hoovering, polishing, etc.
  • Other domestic tasks that may arise
  • Potentially build up to social activities such as short walks or swimming
  • Take to shopping

About the Job
This is a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. Appropriate holidays and holiday pay will be provided. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
