Provide direct care to older adults in Ward M1 (30 beds, expandable to 40 during peak times).

Support patients with personal care activities and clinical duties as trained.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in the Electronic Patient Record (Cerner) following Trust, professional, and departmental guidelines.

Observe patient condition and report any changes to a Registered Professional for review.

Report abnormal findings directly to the registered professional in charge or doctor.

Perform basic housekeeping tasks, stock control, and administrative duties within the clinical environment.

Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

The ward also provides overnight care for 1–2 dermatology patients (any age), usually nursed in side rooms with full clinical responsibility retained by dermatology.

CSWs are essential to the implementation of individual patient care plans and work under the direction of registered professionals and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver quality patient care.
