About this job
Aiden, a young boy who is severely autistic, non-verbal, and has no awareness of danger, requires support. All activities, including swimming, park visits, walks, and other active engagements, are to be provided. Travel and meal costs are covered.
Responsibilities
- Support and supervise Aiden during daily activities.
- Provide 6 hours of assistance per week, with 3 hours on a weekday after school and 3 hours on a weekend, while remaining flexible on dates.
- Respond promptly to seizures or medical emergencies using appropriate protocols.
- Collaborate with care teams and follow guidance on Aiden’s specific needs and seizure types.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience supporting autistic or disabled children preferred.
- Good understanding of seizure response protocols; basic first-aid skills.
- Current valid DBS check.
- Reliable, empathetic, and able to commit to scheduled hours.
