Medical Laboratory Assistant Bath Hospital | Band 3-4 | Monday to Friday, 12pm-8pm | Full-Time | Temporary

Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join a busy laboratory in Bath.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with laboratory, healthcare, pathology, or medical testing experience to support essential diagnostic services and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

Working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Pathology Assistant, Biomedical Support Assistant, or Laboratory Support Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring patient specimens are processed accurately while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and laboratory practice.

  • Key Duties
  • Process, receive, and handle patient specimens accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform basic laboratory testing and record results accurately.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with procedures.
  • Complete accurate data entry and maintain laboratory records.
  • Follow laboratory quality standards, health and safety procedures, and infection control protocols.
  • Monitor and manage laboratory stock levels and supplies.
  • Work closely with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to support daily operations.
