Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join a busy laboratory in Bath.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with laboratory, healthcare, pathology, or medical testing experience to support essential diagnostic services and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.
Working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Pathology Assistant, Biomedical Support Assistant, or Laboratory Support Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring patient specimens are processed accurately while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and laboratory practice.
- Key Duties
- Process, receive, and handle patient specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Perform basic laboratory testing and record results accurately.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with procedures.
- Complete accurate data entry and maintain laboratory records.
- Follow laboratory quality standards, health and safety procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Monitor and manage laboratory stock levels and supplies.
- Work closely with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to support daily operations.
