Have you a passion for great Bar Service and showstopping mixology? Madeleine is a slice of Parisian chic in Birmingham and was awarded “Hotel Bar of the Year 2024” at the Midland Food Drink & Hospitality Awards and “Hotel Bar of the Year 2024 and 2025” at the Birmingham Association Bartender Awards.

As Bar Team Leader you will bring your personality and flair to provide a warm, friendly and generous service to our guests as well as lead the team to deliver to the same great standard. The guest journey is paramount, so you'll know how to deliver fantastic experiences for our guests, time and time again.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours over 5 days. Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate would be fully flexible in their approach to work and be able to work shift patterns through weekdays, weekends and late shifts. Days may start at 10:00am and may finish at 06:00pm. Evenings may start at 05:00pm and may finish at 02:00am.

What the role involves:

  • Motivating the team and leading with confidence; being dynamic and positive at all times.
  • Aiding Supervisors and Management in directing and coordinating the activities of the bar and floor service to ensure the team is efficient and runs smooth operations from opening to closing, in order to produce excellent feedback and guest satisfaction.
  • Creating and serving drinks as per guest requests and preferences as well as following all drinks specifications for a consistent guest experience.
  • Working alongside kitchen and bar staff to ensure quality of food and drinks.
