Cleveland House is looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join their team.
Pay & Hours
- Pay rate: £13.75 per hour
- Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Cleveland House is located in Banks, Southport, in the west of Lancashire.
About the Facility
We offer residential support for 32 people with an acquired brain injury (ABI), progressive neurological condition (PNC) and associated physical health needs. Our team is dedicated to providing the best possible care to our residents in a safe and homely environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Provide practical support and responsive care to patients requiring assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting, ensuring compliance with procedures and relevant healthcare legislation.
- Observe and monitor the wellbeing of patients, promptly referring any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences to senior staff or the primary nurse, and documenting appropriately.
- Deliver specific interventions as delegated by a Registered Nurse, following training and competency attainment, including observation and engagement with patients, escorting patients on leave, and de-escalating and managing violence and aggression.
- Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team, participating in regular ward meetings and other meetings as requested.
- Assist in the maintenance of stock levels, including pharmaceutical products, and ensure ward cleanliness and tidiness while adhering to infection control policy and procedures.
- Build and maintain a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
- Promote and maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of patients, relatives and carers.
- Ensure service users receive a quality service that provides value for their money.
- Receive and convey information from telephone or personal enquiries in a courteous manner, greeting and assisting all visitors to the ward in a welcoming and supportive manner.

Our roles can be full or part time with a variety of shift patterns available, including weekdays and weekends.
