Working Pattern & Hours Days – Hours: Bank Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel. We have been supporting older people for over 120 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty. Kidderminster Day Care is a day centre in Kidderminster where clients can meet new friends and do activities they enjoy with help and support from dedicated and experienced care staff. The team are trained in supporting older people with a range of age related conditions, including short-term memory loss and dementia.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high standard of holistic care and support for our clients so they can maintain independence, autonomy, choice and live fulfilled lives.
  • Ensure clients are at the heart of our day care delivery and that their physical, social and wellbeing needs are being met.
  • Ensure that we always offer high standards of care.
  • Facilitate a client’s choice, dignity and respect.
  • Keep our clients safe and secure.

Qualifications & Experience

We would welcome applicants who are experienced in working with older people, particularly those living with dementia, and hold a NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. However, this is by no means essential. We will give you all the training you will need to excel in this role. As this role involves dealing with vulnerable adults, successful applicants will undertake an enhanced DBS check, and any offer of employment will be dependent on a satisfactory outcome. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar a person from working for us, this will depend on the circumstances and background of any record.
