Bangor University Estates & Campus Services – Nursery Supply Nursery Nurse (Ref: BU03779). We are looking to develop and grow a pool of supply staff who can be called upon to undertake the role of Supply Nursery Nurse on an as‑and‑when‑required basis, covering periods of annual leave, sickness absence and so forth. Payment is made according to the hours worked and upon submission of an authorised timesheet.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the day‑care centre.
- Give support to other personnel within the day‑care centre.
- Implement the daily routine appropriate to the room within which they are located in the nursery, for example the baby room.
Qualifications
- Applicants should be qualified to Level 3 in children’s care, learning and development, with previous experience in a childcare setting and a positive approach to continued professional development (CPD).
- They should also have an awareness and some understanding of the importance of health and safety and food hygiene in the workplace.
- The post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
- The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
