The predicted salary is between 37338 - 44962 € per year.

The overall aim of this role is to empower vulnerable groups within local communities to make positive choices regarding substance use including alcohol, that negatively impacts on sexual health and relationships. Focus on reducing the incidence of sexually transmitted infections, unintended pregnancies including teenage pregnancies, the transmission and late diagnosis of HIV are also core components.

The principal target groups that axess Sexual Health outreach provides services to are:

  • Commercial Sex Workers
  • Homeless Clients
  • Drug Users
  • Men who have sex with men
  • BMEA communities
  • Students and young people

The post holder will:

  • Support service users to provide information and advice in relation to substance misuse which has an increased impact on risk of HIV and STI transmission.
  • Improve access and signpost to appropriate services for clients with substance misuse issues.
  • Provide health promotion and risk reduction around substance misuse.
  • Work within a defined SOP to see clients in a sexual health setting for time limited 1:1 work specifically around risk reduction and behaviour change.
  • Work with Outreach teams for targeted local work within axess areas and ensure robust pathways in/out of specialist in-reach clinics.

The post holder will also be required to work as an accountable practitioner working on their own in community settings, making decisions according to policy and protocol. Hours of work will be flexible to include evening and weekends across the axess regional footprint as required.
