Responsibilities

  • Assist in the efficient and effective running of the Housekeeping Department.
  • Ensure that hotel bedrooms and public areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness in line with company standards.
  • Support the Head Housekeeper in supervising the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms and public areas to meet the highest standards.
  • Act as a brand expert, being aware of all room categories and amenities and pass this knowledge to the Housekeeping Team.
  • Report any maintenance issues to Maintenance/Engineering Department and follow up to ensure faults are rectified efficiently.
  • Assist the Head Housekeeper with training requirements, providing coaching and constructive feedback to the team.
  • Support the team with cleaning and servicing rooms as required by business levels.
  • Maintain a positive approach to guests, anticipating their needs wherever possible and react to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Log and store any guest property left behind in a secure location for lost property.
  • Resolve any guest problems or complaints when possible and keep management informed.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments in the hotel and work together as one team.
  • Attend all H&S, Fire and Food Safety Training as directed by the designated Line Manager.
  • Abide by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and comply with safe system of work appropriate to your role.
  • Complete any other reasonable tasks as requested by your Line Manager.
