We are looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant (Domestic) to work across the Tameside Community site of Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. Working a 5‑over‑7 rota (am or pm) to meet the needs. 5 hours per day / 25 hours per week. Hours to be arranged at interview.
Role Summary
The Facilities Assistant (Domestic) will be a member of the Trust’s Facilities team, providing comprehensive cleaning services across inpatient and/or community settings, which may include wards, clinics or admin areas.
Responsibilities
- Carry out tasks in line with Trust policy, national cleaning standards and local instruction.
- Ensure that infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures are always followed.
- Follow the cleaning schedules to ensure the required levels of cleanliness are achieved.
- Report any incidents or near misses as per Trust policy.
- Store cleaning equipment and machinery correctly; report any defects to the supervisor.
- Dispose of all categories of waste safely and in accordance with Trust guidelines.
- Undertake any other reasonable duty appropriate to the band when requested by Senior Staff.
- Be familiar with and comply with all Trust policies & procedures.
- Attend mandatory training (fire safety, moving and handling, infection control) and other training as required.
- Work as part of the team to ensure cleaning tasks are completed in all areas.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the supervisors.
Working Hours
5 days over a 7‑day rota, 5 hours per day (25 hours per week). Hours to be arranged at interview.
General Information
Postholder will join the facilities team within the Capital Investment and Estates Services department at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.
