We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well‑established further education college in Greater Manchester for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Facilitator to join their team from September 2026. This is a full‑time, long‑term opportunity ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and adults with a range of additional learning needs to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Learning Facilitator, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to students across a variety of courses.

Learning Needs Supported

  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Moderate learning difficulties

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom
  • Assist with lesson delivery and adapt materials where required
  • Promote student engagement, independence, and confidence
  • Support with behaviour management in a positive and proactive manner
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting young people or adults with additional needs (education or care setting)
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning) desirable but not essential
