We have an exciting opportunity to join our Care of the Elderly Team! If you are a healthcare assistant looking to work in a fast‑paced, energetic, caring and supportive environment then this is the post for you.

Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified nursing staff, as directed by the Nurse in charge and ascertain treatments to be carried out.
  • Report on general condition / appearance of patients to the Senior Nurse on duty.
  • Maintain personal contact with patients through conversation and during treatments.
  • Maintain high standards of quality patient care and staff morale by personal example, good conduct and appearance.
  • Participate in quality initiatives at Ward and departmental level.
  • Attend Ward/departmental meetings and study lectures/training as required.
  • Maintain good standards of Department housekeeping under the direction of the Ward Sister.
  • To make Senior Sister aware of any problems/worries relating to sphere/area of work.

N/B Before performing these tasks, proven training must be received and documented in the training pack.
