About the department:

We have an established and dedicated team of 600 employees within our Asset Management department. Our team prides itself on investing in our own people to deliver first class property-based services across the Group, covering a broad range of disciplines from reactive, planned and grounds maintenance to property refurbishments, estate services, building safety and compliance. You will be welcomed into a committed and passionate team, with a key focus on professionalism and working together.

Role information:

We are seeking a passionate Group Fire Safety Manager to help us take a proactive approach to managing fire safety across our portfolio of buildings. You will ensure that the contract in place for our fire risk assessments (FRAs) works well and each relevant building has an in-date FRA. You will work with colleagues across the business to ensure processes are in place to complete FRA actions in a timely manner. In addition, you will ensure we are compliant with relevant legislation such as the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order & the Fire Safety England Regs and ensure relevant inspections are undertaken. This includes fire door inspections. You will be responsible for ensuring our policies and written procedures are regularly reviewed and updated. You will also produce regular reports for various committees and meetings.

You will be proactive, people-focussed, have excellent communication skills, and will work closely with the wider asset management team, repairs teams, and other colleagues across the business to deliver positive outcomes for our customers. You will need to provide advice, information and training to colleagues across the business. You will be a team player but able to work well as an individual on your own projects. You will be able to work to deadlines and successfully manage differing demands and priorities. The successful candidate will be part of a small team of building and fire safety professionals, and you will be supported by the Head of Building Safety.
