About the Role: We support adults with learning disabilities and autism across Somerset and Cornwall, helping them live independently, confidently and on their own terms. We are recruiting floating (peripatetic) support workers to provide person‑centred care across multiple homes.
Responsibilities:
- Build warm, trusting relationships with people supported.
- Support individuals with activities they enjoy at home and in the community.
- Encourage independence and empower people to achieve their goals.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, finances and personal care.
- Support individuals who are non‑verbal or use wheelchairs (full training provided).
- Collaborate with different teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Travelling within roughly an hour of home.
- Willingness to use personal car for travel and hold (or be willing to obtain) business insurance.
- Comfortable working varied shift patterns (early, late and occasional sleep‑ins).
- No previous experience required – we provide full, paid training and opportunities to gain recognised qualifications.
- Enhanced DBS check required (cost covered by Discovery).
