We are looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant (Relief Domestic) position to work at Tameside Hospital and cover Tameside Community Areas when required. Working pattern Monday to Sunday, 5 days over a 7‑day rota, 4.5 hours per day. Hours will be discussed during the interview.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive relief cleaning service for Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust (PCFT).
- Work across the Trust’s in‑patient and/or community settings as assigned, including wards, clinics or admin areas.
- Carry out general cleaning duties in all areas (clinical, sanitary, administration) in accordance with the cleaning schedule, policy, procedures and standards.
- Safely dispose of all categories of waste in line with Trust guidelines.
- Follow the cleaning schedules for each area to ensure required cleanliness levels.
- Report incidents or near misses as per Trust policy.
- Store cleaning equipment and machinery correctly and report any defects to the supervisor.
- Work on a weekly rota to cover relief shifts during periods of absence and annual leave, which may include weekend and evening work.
- Be familiar with and comply with all Trust and departmental policies and procedures.
- Attend mandatory training and other training as required, which may include online training using a mobile phone or computer.
- Work as part of the team to ensure cleaning tasks are completed in all areas.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the supervisors.
