We are looking for Support Workers to join our extra care service in the West Midlands in Shirley.
Brief Job Description:The Support Worker will support vulnerable older adults in their own homes providing support to individuals in a person centred way which includes various activities i.e. shopping, cooking, assisting with personal care and administering medication. You will need to maintain care, support skills as detailed within the individual care plans and risk assessments. Record keeping and communication skills are essential to ensure effective teamwork to meet people’s needs.
You will be required to undertake such training and development as necessary from time to time to develop your career. Ideally you will have previous experience working within a residential care or supported living setting with vulnerable people and hold NVQ Level 2 in care or an equivalent qualification. However, applications from candidates with no experience who can demonstrate the caring qualities and values that we seek in our staff are welcome.
