This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled IBM AS400 / IBM i professional to play a key role in supporting business-critical operations and driving system improvements.
You will act as a specialist investigator for operational and system-related issues, working independently to identify root causes, resolve problems, and recommend both immediate corrective actions and sustainable long-term solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve AS400 operational and system issues.
- Identify root causes of system and process failures.
- Produce reports, data extracts, and meaningful business insights.
- Write, maintain, and enhance reports and queries.
- Conduct data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Monitor critical business processes and scheduled jobs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Develop long-term solutions that reduce reliance on manual workarounds and temporary fixes.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience supporting IBM AS400 / IBM i environments.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and report writing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and investigate complex operational issues.
- Experience within a manufacturing or operational environment would be advantageous.
