At Pobl Group, we are looking to recruit a full-time, temporary Community Engagement Project Worker to join our preventative hubs service in Carmarthenshire. The hubs are in Llanelli, Amman, and Gwendreath and provide preventative and solution-based community support. It is essential for the successful candidate to have access to a car, a full driver’s licence, and be happy to transport customers in their vehicle.

What is great about the role? You will play a key part in delivering the preventative hubs in Llanelli, Amman, and Gwendreath, supporting customers to improve and/or maintain their health, well-being, and independence through social integration and strong community relationships. As part of the lead team, you will deliver the single point of contact from which customers can access visible, accessible, and available information, opportunities, and support. You will work closely with your team and partner organisations to deliver this service. You will receive referrals, provide information, have wellbeing conversations with customers, deliver community engagement campaigns, and develop community support networks.

What skills and experience do you need? We are looking for someone who is able to build great rapport and has experience working with vulnerable people or in community development. You will have the ability to plan, deliver, review, and monitor a holistic package of support, assess the needs of our customers, assess risk, and propose risk-management strategies. For this role you will need a high standard of IT literacy and be keen to engage in further learning to continuously grow. Our values are positive, connected, and considerate. Benefits:

  • Full-time (37 hrs), fixed term until 30th June 2026
  • Salary: £28,041 per annum (FTE)
  • Work pattern: Monday-Friday, with flexibility required depending on the needs of the customer
  • 26 days holiday (pro rata entitlement plus bank holidays). Rising to 27 days after 1 year of service, or the cash equivalent of 1 day's annual leave.
