We are looking for a Facilities Assistant – Porter to provide a full and comprehensive portering and cleaning service to the Altrincham site of Manchester Foundation Trust hospitals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Transfer of patients between wards and departments using bed, trolley and wheelchair.
- Move case request forms, specimens, medicines, equipment, furniture and other items between wards and departments.
- Respond to non‑scheduled task instructions from the Helpdesk via a hand‑held device and record completion times.
- Report any issues or delays to the Helpdesk to maintain an audit trail.
- Collect all refuse, including special waste and soiled linen, from wards and departments and deliver to designated holding areas.
- Ensure waste and linen storage areas remain safe, clean, tidy, secure, and that containers are locked.
- Assist other facilities services such as catering and domestic to ensure seamless delivery of services.
