Leisure Apprenticeship - Level 2. Join our team as a leisure apprentice and learn in a supportive environment while earning nationally recognised qualifications in lifeguarding (NPLQ), swimming teaching (Swim England) and gym instruction (L2 Qualification). The apprenticeship runs for approximately 18 months and is open to anyone with no age limit. We are an accredited Investors in People (IIP) employer.
Responsibilities:
- Work in one of our 9 swimming pool facilities as part of a team.
- Carry out a range of work activities and support the leisure team.
- Shift work, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Good people skills and ability to work in various situations and teams.
- Relatively good swimming ability - a swimming test will be completed as part of the application process.
- Willingness to undertake training and achieve the listed qualifications.
Pay & Benefits:
- Approx. 18 months apprenticeship programme.
- 37 hours per week, including early mornings, evenings and weekends (operational roles).
- Starting salary of £16,457.30 per year for full-time - six-monthly performance-based pay rises.
- 25 days annual leave rising to 30 days after 5 years' service.
