TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in central Swansea, who have a dedicated Specialist Teaching Facility (STF) class. The school promotes a supportive and nurturing environment, with a strong focus on inclusion and pupil wellbeing. The school is looking to appoint an ALN Support Teaching Assistant on a long-term temporary basis, starting immediately.
The successful ALN Support Teaching Assistant will be working within the STF class, supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs, assisting with learning activities and helping to manage behaviour in a positive and structured way.
The successful ALN Support Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children with ALN within a school or similar setting
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD or learning difficulties
- A patient and resilient approach to behaviour management
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to support across the classroom
