About the role
HGV Class 1 Driver – Night shifts across Midlands and UK‑wide routes, including general haulage, palletised deliveries/collections, RDC, trunking and curtain‑side operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct load security checks and internal load stepping.
- Perform vehicle safety checks.
- Ensure deliveries are completed safely and professionally.
- Start nights as scheduled throughout the week.
- Work within Drivers’ Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive (WTD) requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (CE) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification card.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Good understanding of driver compliance and load security.
- Professional and reliable attitude.
- Previous Class 1 general haulage experience preferred.
- Maximum 6 penalty points accepted.
- No DD, DR, CU, MS or TT endorsements.
- UK resident; PAYE direct employment only; no umbrella companies.
