Unistrut is looking for an experienced Extrusion Setter Operator to support our continued growth. You will set up and operate extrusion machines to produce various plastic products according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate extrusion machines to produce various plastic products.
  • Monitor the production process, adjusting as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the extrusion equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machines to keep them in optimal working condition.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure scrap and non-conforming products are kept to a minimum and disposed of correctly.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on extrusion machines and familiarity with profile or conduit tubes.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and tooling used in extrusion operations (training provided if needed).
  • Mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of extrusion equipment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and assemble components.
  • Team player but also able to work independently.
  • Commitment to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values, including Zero Harm and Zero Defects.

Hours

39 hours per week on a 2-week rotating shift pattern, with the following schedule: Week 1 & 2: Monday 6 pm – 6 am.

Compensation

Salary available upon request and dependent on experience, plus 22% shift allowance for rotating shifts and 25% shift allowance for night shifts.
