We are looking for an Activity Coordinator to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke. Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke provides emergency admissions services for men and women, and a pathway for women to rehabilitation including a specialist service for personality disorder. This role will be working shifts which include evenings and weekends.

Contracted hours: 37.5

UK Driving licence: essential/desirable

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Support and enhance the care of patients at the service by assisting the Occupational Therapist.
  • Encourage patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well as maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
  • Plan and implement therapy programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtained.
  • Contribute ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities.
  • Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy.
  • A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable).
