Ainscough Crane Hire are looking for an Abnormal Loads Administrator to join their successful Transport team covering the UK. This role can be based from any of our UK depots.

Job Purpose/Objectives:

Own the end-to-end process of submission and distribution of Abnormal Load Routing requests for the business, ensuring that they are completed within defined timescales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate creation of Movement Orders using Abnormal Load planning software in line with STGO legislation.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the routing database and data entry so that our routes always remain active and compliant.
  • Quality checking submitted routes, owning Operator/Driver feedback, and conducting fact finding investigations into routing issues as they occur.
  • Liaise with Police Forces, Local Authorities, and associated Agencies to maintain a positive working relationship, keeping up to date with changes to legislation and policy.

Person Specification:

  • Strong customer focus with an understanding of customer relationships and business process
  • IT literate and familiar with Microsoft office products—particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Able to communicate at all levels, both in verbal and written form
  • Good organisational skills with an excellent attention to detail
  • Adaptable, flexible, and resilient to change
  • Previous experience working in a busy customer‑focused environment
