We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a prominent automotive accident repair group operating across South Wales and England, to find a skilled MET Technician for their newly established Abergavenny bodyshop.

- Removing damaged parts to facilitate repairs
- Safely storing displaced parts for refitting
- Identifying and reporting any additional damage or parts required
- Ensuring all parts are correct to maintain smooth workflow throughout the repair process
- Refit and carefully reassemble vehicles post-repair, ensuring panel gaps and alignments meet manufacturer standards
- Replacing mechanical components such as steering, drivetrain, and engine parts as required
- Adhering to health and safety legislation and internal procedures
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition
- Participating in regular safety training and team meetings
- Supporting colleagues and managing workload efficiently to meet deadlines
- Requirements of a MET Technician:
- Recognised qualification in automotive MET/vehicle body repair, or working towards an IMI qualification; individuals with extensive experience or no formal qualifications but a strong track record in body repair/strip and fit are also encouraged
- Strong ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to interpret and follow work instructions on job cards to ensure manufacturer and company standards
- Good organisational skills to prioritise workload effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
