Job Advertisement: 360 Operator Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced 360 Operator to join our team for a short-term project in Bonvilston, Cardiff.

This is a 3-week assignment that involves operating a 5-ton machine to carry out essential excavation and drainage work.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a 5-ton 360 excavator to dig out rock beneath overhead cables.
  • Perform precise excavation for drainage systems and ensure proper backfilling.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, particularly when working near overhead cables.
  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance of the machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the site team to ensure the project is completed efficiently and on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience operating a 360 excavator, preferably in similar projects.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, especially when working near overhead cables.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Day-to-Day

  • Begin each day with a safety briefing and equipment inspection.
  • Operate the 360 excavator to perform excavation tasks as per project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with the site supervisor and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor and maintain the excavator to prevent downtime or mechanical issues.
  • Ensure the worksite is kept clean and organized at the end of each day.
