We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Project Manager & Infrastructure Engineer to lead and deliver complex IT projects while maintaining and optimizing core infrastructure systems. This hybrid role requires both strategic project management capabilities and strong hands-on technical expertise in infrastructure design, deployment, and support.

Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end IT projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget
  • Define project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Provide regular project status updates and reporting

Infrastructure Engineering

  • Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud environments)
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of systems
  • Manage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Oversee system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot technical issues

Security & Compliance

  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with UK regulations (e.g., GDPR)
  • Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments

Documentation & Support

  • Maintain technical documentation and SOPs
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support when required
  • Train and mentor junior team members

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager and/or Infrastructure Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, MS Project, or similar
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant certifications (preferred): PRINCE2 / PMP, AWS / Azure certifications, ITIL

Salary (UK Market Range)

£55,000 – £85,000 per annum (depending on experience and location). Senior/Lead-level candidates may command £90,000+
