We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Project Manager & Infrastructure Engineer to lead and deliver complex IT projects while maintaining and optimizing core infrastructure systems. This hybrid role requires both strategic project management capabilities and strong hands-on technical expertise in infrastructure design, deployment, and support.
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end IT projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget
- Define project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Provide regular project status updates and reporting
Infrastructure Engineering
- Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud environments)
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of systems
- Manage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Oversee system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot technical issues
Security & Compliance
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with UK regulations (e.g., GDPR)
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments
Documentation & Support
- Maintain technical documentation and SOPs
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support when required
- Train and mentor junior team members
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager and/or Infrastructure Engineer
- Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
- Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, MS Project, or similar
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant certifications (preferred): PRINCE2 / PMP, AWS / Azure certifications, ITIL
Salary (UK Market Range)
£55,000 – £85,000 per annum (depending on experience and location). Senior/Lead-level candidates may command £90,000+
