Are you an experienced project professional with a passion for delivering high-quality homes and creating thriving communities? We are seeking a Senior Development Project Officer to join our Development Team in Swansea. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Senior Development Project Officer to lead the delivery of affordable housing developments from conception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

About the role

As a Senior Development Project Officer, you will play a key role in delivering our development programme, managing housing projects from post-contract stage through to completion, handover and the Defects Liability Period. You will lead project and site progress meetings, monitor quality, compliance, costs and programme performance, and build strong relationships with contractors, consultants and stakeholders. The Senior Development Project Officer will undertake site inspections, monitor works on site, identify and resolve quality concerns, and ensure developments meet Welsh Housing Quality Standards (WHQS), Welsh Development Quality Requirements (WDQR) and regulatory requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Development Project Officer who enjoys balancing technical expertise, project delivery and stakeholder engagement.

About you

To succeed as a Senior Development Project Officer, you will have project management experience within construction, property development, housing or a related environment. You will be confident managing multiple projects, monitoring costs and risks, and working effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for a Senior Development Project Officer with excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, alongside experience of undertaking site visits, property inspections and works monitoring. A construction, quantity surveying, building surveying or project management qualification would be advantageous. We welcome previous experience working as a: Project Manager, Development Officer, Development Manager, Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Construction Project Manager, Site Manager, Contracts Manager, Housing Development Officer.
