Our Employee Engagement Manager will be responsible for planning and delivering an employee communications and external employer reputation approach, focusing on strengthening CareCo’s culture, reinforcing our values and enhancing employee engagement.

This is a full-time permanent position, covering 40 hours over a Monday to Friday week, based out of CareCo’s Braintree head office with the option to work from home 1 day a week.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement an employee communications approach that aligns with our mission, values, and business objectives.
  • Coordinate the creation of engaging, inclusive employee communications content for multiple channels: emails, intranet, Microsoft Teams, internal newsletters, company meetings and events, etc.
  • Collaborate with HR, L&D, Brand, Creative and senior leadership to ensure cohesive messaging, promote transparency, and support people-focused initiatives.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to support organisational changes, prioritising sensitivity, transparency, and engagement during transitions.
  • Oversee the crafting of employer reputation campaigns that align with the external marketing strategy and showcase our values, culture, and employee experiences.
  • Coordinate the development of culturally inclusive content (social media, videos, employee testimonials, etc.) that enhances our talent attraction and employer reputation.
  • Monitor key employer reputation websites (e.g. Glassdoor etc.) and manage CareCo’s interaction with such sites. Where required, appropriately communicate feedback & action points to relevant departments.
  • Plan, execute, and host local and regional internal events, to nurture an inclusive and engaged workforce.
  • Execution and coordination of a company engagement survey and pulse survey plan.
  • Analyse and present the results from engagement and pulse surveys to facilitate data-driven insights and action planning.
  • Coordinate the formulation, communication and execution of employee engagement action plans and measurement.
  • Develop and administer an employee recognition programme to acknowledge achievements, milestones and contributions, fostering a culture of appreciation and motivations.

What skills & experience are required of me?

  • Experience in internal/employee communications and employer reputation/branding within a fast-paced, multi-site organisation.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute internal/employee marketing campaigns that align with organisational goals, increase engagement, and amplify people-centric initiatives.
  • Experience leading skilled professionals in the development of engaging content that reflects organisational goals, values, and culture.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other social media, to amplify brand messaging.
  • Experience in internal event management or the overseeing of event management and related logistics.
  • A collaborative style with experience working cross-functionally, valuing diverse perspectives, and tailoring messaging to different audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment, adjusting strategies and communication styles as needed.
  • Skilled at using analytics to measure the impact of communications and employee engagement initiatives, which facilitates continuous improvement.
