This opportunity is ideal for someone who prefers to work autonomously and likes to be in control of their own diary. The job involves dealing with various foot conditions including ingrowing toenails, using a surgical blade to remove hard skin, corns, and verrucas, and applying dressings to wounds.
The role will involve sitting on a very low stool several times per day during home visits, and you will also need to carry a large bag for the transportation of equipment. Training will take anywhere from two months to a year depending on your learning speed. Please note that you are NOT paid for your training.
After qualifying, you will be working independently and earning £20-£30 per hour. Applicants should consider that you will NOT be earning any money while training. All training, DBS, insurance, equipment, CPD, and full support are provided both during and after training.
Duties will involve visiting people within their own homes, including nursing and care homes, hospitals, etc. You will need your own car as you will be travelling from house to house each day you are working. Honesty and reliability are a must!
You will need to manage an electronic diary on your smartphone. This position would best suit someone with prior care or nursing experience, although this is not essential. Must be prepared to travel to complete the training in a reasonable time.
If you're passionate about foot health and want to take your career to the next level, apply now! Join our team and bring foot care to those who need it most, wherever they are. If you are not considering this as a long-term job, then please do not apply.
