Responsibilities

• Assist our Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals for residents.
• Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and tidy at all times while on shift.
• Help with serving meals and interact with residents daily, remaining friendly, caring and respectful of residents’ dignity.
• Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH, and Environmental Health.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is in full, safe working order and report any faults to the Chef and the Head Caretaker.

The Ideal Candidate

The role is suitable for individuals who have a caring nature and want to work as part of a friendly team. Full training is provided; no specific qualifications or experience are required for many roles in our care home.
