We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Lead (RGN) to oversee the clinical governance and delivery of high-quality care across complex care packages. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care for clients with complex health needs in community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight across all complex care packages
- Conduct clinical assessments, risk assessments, and care planning
- Lead and support clinical supervision and competency assessments for nursing and care staff
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, policies, and best practice guidelines
- Review and monitor clinical incidents, safeguarding concerns, and escalations
- Support with onboarding, clinical interviews, and inductions of new staff
- Deliver and oversee clinical training (e.g. tracheostomy, PEG, ventilator care)
- Liaise with families, MDT (GPs, community nurses, case managers), and stakeholders
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting
- Support continuous quality improvement and audit processes
Essential Requirements
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration
- Minimum 3–5 years post-registration experience
- Experience within complex care / community care settings
- Strong knowledge of:
- Tracheostomy care
- PEG feeding
- Ventilation (e.g. BiPAP/CPAP)
Desirable
- Experience in a lead or senior clinical role
- Teaching or mentoring experience
- Full UK driving licence
