We are currently recruiting for experienced Healthcare Assistants (Male) to support a male client on a 2:1 complex care package in Hertfordshire. This is a night role supporting a client with significant neurological and mobility needs.

Clinical Overview

  • Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia
  • Strong tonic spasms
  • Muscle weakness (particularly in lower limbs)

The client requires close monitoring and safe handling throughout the night.

Clinical Skills Required (Essential)

  • PEG feeding (Abbott pump)
  • Hoist transfers
  • Wheelchair support
  • Vital signs monitoring
  • Repositioning and pressure area care
  • Manual handling
  • Symmetrical sleep system awareness

Candidates must be confident managing complex mobility needs and responding to muscle spasms safely.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months complex care experience
  • Confident working within a 2:1 care team
  • Experience supporting neurological conditions
  • Calm and observant during night shifts
  • Professional and reliable
