This is a ground-up role where you'll shape the supported living service from day one, building your team and setting the culture. About the Service Manager Role

Our client is setting up a bespoke supported living service tailored to one young person with autism (PDA features) and moderate learning disabilities. As the Service Manager, you'll lead the final setup phase, ensuring routines and spaces meet the individual's supported living needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Supported Living Service Manager

  • Lead and mentor staff in this supported living service
  • Ensure high-intensity support: 3:1 transitioning to 2:1
  • Manage two waking night staff – no sleep-ins for the Service Manager
  • Provide hands-on leadership, working alongside your supported living team

Skills and Experience Required for this Service Manager Role

  • Proven experience as a Supported Living Service Manager with complex autism and PDA understanding
  • Ability to stay calm in challenges, focus team on the person
  • Sees behaviour as communication, reacts with sense and kindness
  • Experienced supported living practitioner (Deputy or Service Manager) who leads from the front
  • Confidence to work directly with the individual when situations demand
