As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will work alongside the Registered Manager to lead a dedicated clinical team and ensure outstanding care delivery across the home. Key Responsibilities of the Clinical Deputy Manager:
  • Provide strong clinical leadership across the nursing and care team
  • Drive the highest standards in care planning, delivery, and outcomes
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality frameworks
  • Champion best practice in dementia care, palliative care, and medication management
  • Mentor, develop, and support staff to reach their potential
  • Oversee staffing, rota planning, and day-to-day clinical operations
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for residents, families, and external professionals
  • Deputise for the Home Manager in their absence
Essential Skills and Experience Required for the Clinical Deputy Manager:
  • NMC-registered Nurse (RGN) - Essential
  • Dementia Care
  • Care home experience, ideally supporting older people with complex needs
  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams in a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, infection control, and CQC standards
  • Demonstrable understanding of dementia care, end-of-life support, and clinical governance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, reliable, and genuinely passionate about person-centred care
